Position Overview:
Resource Instructional Assistants will support students who receive special education services. Their schedules will be driven by students’ needs, which are ever-changing. They will work both in and out of the resource/special education classrooms. Duties will include push-in inclusion support, resource room small group/behavior/instructional supports, sensory integration support, and any other special education services needed. They will work under the direction of the teacher or record. Professional development for these IAs will be focused upon topics such as IEPs, behavior plans, related services, teaching support strategies, de-escalation, and other relevant training.
