Family and Community Resources, Inc. seeks a Resource Development Coordinator to drive fundraising, events, and communications in Brockton, MA.

This full-time role focuses on donor engagement, social media, intern and volunteer recruitment, and day-to-day operations of resource development within a nonprofit environment. Qualifications

  • Experience in Marketing, Communication, Non-Profit work.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.
  • Driver’s license and background check are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space.

  • Experience with database and website management is a plus.
  • Desktop publishing/design software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate an annual calendar of fundraising and community events and manage volunteers.
  • Organize and manage donor, sponsor, ticket purchaser and guest information for event logistics.
  • Attend and support event setup/teardown and manage guest check-in/check-out.
  • Complete post-event tasks including acknowledgements, evaluations, and follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain donation pages on the agency website and social media messaging.
  • Identify intern needs, place interns, and supervise interns under the Director of Corporate and Community Relations.
  • Recruit and onboard volunteers, maintain relationships with colleges, and attend career fairs.
  • Assist with grant research and grant applications as needed.
  • Coordinate client program surveys and solicit feedback for improvement.
  • Maintain donor records and monthly reports; produce gift acknowledgements.
  • Assist with social media posts and marketing materials and update website content.
  • Supervise Development intern and assist with day-to-day operations of resource development.
  • Attend SEI training and secure certification every three years.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Organization: Family and Community Resources, Inc. Department: Development and Communications Position: Resource Development Coordinator Responsible to: Director of Community & Corporate Relations Location: 370 Oak St., Brockton, MA 02301

Family and Community Resources, Inc., (FCR) requires an enterprising individual who is passionate about making a difference in her/his/their community. Event planning is essential to the position as is non-profit marketing and communications, including social media. The position is full-time. The coordinator will have the opportunity to complete and contribute to projects and initiatives essential to the functions of the organization and will assume duties in the areas of fundraising, event planning, social media marketing, intern and volunteer recruitment, and day-to-day operations of resource development in a non-profit organization.

Responsibilities are as follows:

Agency Events
  • Coordinate and execute an annual calendar of fundraising and community engagement events including recruitment and facilitation of event volunteer committees, preparation of theme collateral and communication with the community, guests, donors and sponsors: includes design, production, assembly and distribution of event materials; research vendors & venues, obtain price quotes and order relevant signage, materials and event support
  • Organize all contact information for donors, sponsors, ticket purchasers, auction item donors, and guests, and prepare the logistical plan for event set-up
  • Attend and help set up/take down all facets of the events; manage check-in and check-out of guests and the flow of the event
  • Complete post event tasks--acknowledgements, evaluation, vendor and donor follow-up, etc.
  • Develop and maintain donation pages on the agency’s website and social media messaging related to events, fundraising initiatives, and outreach activities
Recruitment of Interns and Volunteers for FCR Departments
  • Under the guidance of the Director of Corporate and Community Relations, work with FCR Program Managers to identify intern needs for the year; and ensure the appropriate placement, onboarding and supervision of interns
  • Maintain relationships with area colleges and universities to recruit interns (paid and unpaid) and service learners who will be placed in agency departments; Attend college and career fairs to facilitate recruitment strategies
  • Conduct initial interviews with potential interns, gathering required paperwork for submission to HR, and helping schedule final interviews with senior managers
  • Follow-up with interns and managers in the evaluation of the intern experience; formulate plans for improvement
  • Recruit and onboard volunteers to meet agency needs; ensure that volunteer needs are met and that they are appropriately thanked and recognized
  • Attend SEI training and help secure certification every three years
Seasonal Projects, Donation Drives, In-Kind Donations, Community Outreach
  • Maintain wish list of items needed for support of FCR clients, families, and children, and ensure that list is published on the website and via social media
  • Design and produce collateral material for drives and outreach events
  • Identify and contact schools, businesses, social clubs, etc. to be donors and/or public collection sites and respond to schools, businesses, clubs, etc. who want to conduct drives for FCR; drives include supplies for Janice’s Closet, the Food Pantry, Thanksgiving baskets, etc.
  • Coordinate Holiday Adopt-A-Family project, including donor correspondence and matching, tracking, packing, inventory management, special activities, etc.
  • Serve on community committees that advance the mission of FCR and assist with community outreach events as needed
General Resource Development and Communications Activities
  • Maintain donor records on eTapestry (donor tracking software) and submit monthly reports to NPCM
  • Produce and send all gift acknowledgements
  • Ensure media and photo archives are current and photos are posted on website and social media as appropriate, maintaining client confidentiality at all times
  • Assist with creation/design/production of fundraising/marketing/PR materials, including bi-monthly newsletters, annual report, annual appeal, impact data sheets, social media posts, PSA’s, flyers, ads, blogs, and articles in partner newsletters, etc. Create and schedule social media posts.
  • Maintain agency website and keep news and information current by inputting and updating content, including job postings
  • Assist with the supervision of the Development intern
  • Assist with grant research and grant applications as needed
  • Coordinate client program surveys as directed
  • Identify and participate in training that will enhance professional skills
  • All other duties as assigned.
