Job summary

The Goddard School is seeking floating assistant teachers in our infant/toddler program (3 months-2 years old) at our Murray Hill location. We are specifically looking for teachers who are available Monday-Friday for a 9:00am - 6:00pm schedule and able to start before 2027.

Qualifications

• An assistant teacher must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous childcare experience.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in the area of Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside the classroom teachers to implement planned activities
• Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
• Supporting each child's social and emotional development
• Establishing positive and effective family relations and communication
• Maintaining routine and structure in the classroom

Education

This brand new, state-of-the-art preschool facility has;

• 13 classrooms
• All classrooms equipped with phones, Apple iPad's & Bluetooth speakers

As an Employee, you will receive the following Benefits:

• Twenty-Seven (27) paid personal days (Yes 27!!!) per year as follows:
• Ten (10) paid personal days per calendar year
• Five (5) paid personal days between Christmas and New Year's Day when the school is closed
• Seven (7) paid holidays per calendar year.
• Five (5) sick days per year (available to all employees, accrual starts with no waiting period)
