Role Overview:
As a Y Head Start Resource Aide, you will collaborate with classroom teachers to support children's development, especially those with special needs. Your responsibilities include assisting with classroom routines, ensuring children's health and safety, and creating a nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative growth. Your work will help prepare economically disadvantaged children for success in school and life, contributing to our community and mission.

Qualifications:

  • Interest in the well-being and education of young children, with enthusiasm, patience, and good judgment
  • Experience working with children with special needs
  • Effective communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Obtained or willing to obtain a 90-hour child care certification upon hire
  • High school diploma or GED
