Job summary

Pet Paradise is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Matthews resort in the Charlotte Area. The role oversees daily resort operations and staff while supporting the Resort Manager on a variety of management needs.

You will lead recruitment, training, and coaching, ensuring premier service to pet guests and their parents, while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and strong customer service metrics across our locations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to resolve conflict and build relationships with customers.
• Detail-oriented with a results-focused mindset.
• Experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality or similar.
• Experience in animal care preferred.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily resort operations and staff.
• Manage labor, scheduling, timecards, and labor hours.
• Coordinate recruitment with operations management and HR; interview and onboarding.
• Train, supervise, and coach team members on standards and procedures.
• Deliver premier service to pet guests and their parents in a safe, clean, and friendly environment.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and standards; monitor customer service metrics.
