Job summary

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to manage daily upkeep of resort buildings and systems. You will perform multi-skilled tasks across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and preventative maintenance to keep facilities in top condition.

The role requires at least three years of maintenance experience, the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of general building maintenance experience or equivalent technical training.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and coworkers.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; must be able to speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provides a variety of general, mechanic, and preventive maintenance duties as well as inspections, servicing, repair, and overhaul of equipment for resort satellite buildings.
• Works independently, coordinating daily workflow in maintaining assigned buildings/projects.
• Prioritizes repair requests and plans work to ensure parts are available and tasks are completed quickly and efficiently.
• Inspects drives, motors, and belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, and performs other maintenance actions following checklists.
• Plans and lays out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
• Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools; reassembles equipment.
• Maintains and repairs equipment in kitchens, laundries, mechanical rooms, and offices.
• Inspects, operates, and tests machinery to diagnose malfunctions; uses blueprints and manuals to fix issues.
• Dismantles devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists and tools.
• Responds to fire alarm systems and safely disengages electrical, water, or gas systems when needed.
• Mentors Rooms Tech 1; supports wider Engineering team duties.
