Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts seeks a Maintenance Technician for Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, WI. You’ll handle guest and associate maintenance requests, perform preventative care, and keep building systems running efficiently to protect guest experiences.

You’ll work a varied schedule supporting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other hotel operations while upholding safety standards and quality service. This role offers growth opportunities within our resort network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school degree, plus 1-2 years’ hands‑on maintenance experience.
• Strong technical skills and proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and colleagues.
• Physical stamina for demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and varying weather conditions.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Foster guest/associate rapport by promptly addressing requests.
• Maintain daily shift reports; document calls in Engineer’s log and close out tasks.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on furniture, fixtures, and equipment across interior and exterior hotel areas and guest rooms.
• Assist in cost control related to heat, power, light, sewer and water; recommend improvements.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, pumps, fans, generators, and chillers.
• Maintain plumbing, pneumatics, and electronic controls.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
