Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance operations at Steamboat properties in Steamboat Springs, CO. You will supervise the maintenance team, coordinate work orders, and ensure high standards of quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.

The role requires at least 3 years of supervisory experience, proficiency with MS Office, and strong communication skills. Night/weekend work may be required; opportunities include a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with employees, guests, clients, and management.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team.
• Oversee maintenance staff performing cleaning, repairs, painting, grounds maintenance, and other activities.
• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate employees; address performance issues and resolve concerns.
• Plan staffing and estimate labor requirements to complete work orders and ongoing projects.
• Coordinate and oversee preventative maintenance programs across properties.
• Communicate with owners, guests, front desk staff, and owner representatives regarding maintenance concerns.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality service during routine and emergency situations.
• Maintain accurate time, production, work order, and billing records.
