Job summary

Capital Vacations seeks a Laundry Assistant in Gatlinburg to maintain high housekeeping standards and deliver excellent guest service. You will manage laundry duties, restock supplies, and assist with room cleaning across property areas.

Ideal candidates bring energy, reliability, and a flexible weekend/holiday schedule to support peak times in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Opportunities for teamwork and growth are available within the resort network.

Qualifications

• Prior laundry or housekeeping experience a plus.
• High energy with a passion for housekeeping cleanliness.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be available weekends and holidays.
• Ability to multi-task and handle the cleaning of units at a fast pace with accuracy promptly.

Responsibilities

• Operate washers and dryers, load/unload, clean filters as necessary.
• Sort linens and repurpose heavily soiled items as rags when needed.
• Clean guest rooms, lobby, and corridors; service and vending areas; collect trash.
• Maintain storage area cleanliness and organize linen allocation for rooms.

What are you motivated by?:

The Laundry Assistant maintains a high level of housekeeping cleanliness in assigned areas while providing outstanding customer service for owners and guests.

What you're great at:

• Responsibilities listed may not apply to all locations
• Reports for duty on time and in uniform
• Operates washers and dryers, loading and unloading, cleaning filters as necessary
• Sorts linens that are heavily soiled, unable to be cleaned and unsuitable for use to be utilized as cleaning rags, and records totals of all soiled linens
• Folds all linens and stores by category in neat stacks
• Reports any malfunctions to supervisor
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of storage area at all times
• Advises supervisor of linen shortages, detergent, and categories that need purchasing
• Organizes the allocation of linens to each room attendant
• Assists with housekeeping duties when needed as follows:
• Cleans guest rooms, lobby, and corridors
• Cleans service and vending areas
• Collects trash throughout the property
• Cleans restrooms generally and replenishes supplies
• Assists team members as needed and helps cover shifts and clean rooms when needed
• Performs outdoor maintenance work as directed
• Participates in special cleaning projects as directed
• All other duties as assigned by management
