Job summary

Austin Lakeway Resort & Spa is seeking a friendly Dishwasher to keep our kitchen areas clean and organized. You will operate the dishwashing station, handle glassware and utensils, and assist with daily cleaning and setup for service in a resort environment.

Qualifications

• Clean and organized work habits as per kitchen guidelines.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Capable of standing and walking throughout shifts.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Use established guidelines to keep all kitchen items such as plates, glassware, utensils, pots and pans as well as the general kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Correctly utilize and maintain dish machine to wash glasses and dishes in standard dish rack; wash pots and pans only in the pot washer's area.
• Ensure that all cleaning is performed daily to keep the kitchen neat, clean, and organized at all times; this includes sweeping, mopping, wiping down walls, and cleaning up spills or any broken glass/dishes.
• Empty full and heavy trash cans. Make sure they are sprayed and sanitized after each use. Place new trash bags in the container after each cleaning.
• Follow all MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) protocols, as well as Safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties in areas of Kitchen as assigned, including assisting with banquet events as directed by supervisor.
