Job summary

Omni Hotels is seeking a groundskeeping team member to perform tasks such as seeding, mulching, pruning, irrigation, and pesticide application to maintain resort grounds in Virginia. The role involves operating light vehicles and a range of power tools, coordinating planning of ornamental beds, and reporting needs for irrigation and safety compliance, all while contributing to guest experience.

Experience is preferred; strong reading of safety rules, good communication, and a valid Virginia

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, vendors/suppliers and associates.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License and comply with Company motor vehicle requirements.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written

Responsibilities

• Seed, water, mulch, fertilize, and care for plantings.
• Plan and implement ornamental beds and seasonal plantings.
• Lead improvement programs for grounds.
• Coordinate irrigation scheduling and repair.
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers with proper records.
• Prepare outdoor locations for resort operations.
• Operate light vehicles and groundskeeping equipment safely.
• Maintain groundskeeping equipment.
• Assist in snow/ice removal to prevent accidents.
• Support safe work habits and positive work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
