Job summary

Merlin Entertainments in Winter Haven, Florida seeks a Landscaping Specialist to maintain grounds across the resort, ensuring safety, curb appeal, and guest satisfaction. You will perform mowing, trimming, irrigation support, planting, and seasonal enhancements in outdoor and back-of-house areas.

The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with teams, following safety standards and Merlin’s values of safety, inclusion, creativity, and fun.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic horticulture, turf care, and landscape maintenance practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to follow direction while working independently or as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor in guest-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, planting beds, trees, shrubs, and landscaped areas across the resort.
• Perform mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, mulching, and debris removal to high presentation standards.
• Support seasonal landscape installations and themed overlays for events.
• Assist with planting, soil preparation, fertilization, and basic pest/weed control per safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of walkways, courtyards, entrances, and exterior guest areas.
• Complete work orders and document materials used in the CMMS when required.
• Collaborate with facilities, custodial, and operations teams on park initiatives.
