Job summary

Jay Peak Resort is seeking a Food Runner to transport food from the main line to guest tables, interact with guests professionally, and assist with line setup and presentation. You will learn the menu, maintain allergy policies, and coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure correct dishes reach guests.

The position requires strong customer service, the ability to stand and lift, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays in a winter resort environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport food from main line to guest tables.
• Interact with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Set up the line with plates, condiments and garnishes.
• Know menu and allergy policies.
• Ensure dishes are plated properly before serving.
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders and chefs to deliver correct dishes.
• Assist with line and back-of-house tasks as needed.
