Job summary

Westgate Resorts in Park City, UT is seeking a detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of carpets, floors, and upholstery throughout the resort. The role involves cleaning carpets and floors in guest rooms and public areas, removing effects of smoke and water damage, and operating floor cleaning equipment.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and move for extended periods.
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean carpets and floors in rooms and public areas.
• Clean carpets, upholstery and floors to remove smoke and water damage such as dirt, soot, stains, mildew and excess water moisture.
• Must wax and strip floors as needed.
• Operate portable commercial carpet, upholstery and interior cleaning machines.
• Ensure that proper safety signs are set up prior to performing floor cleaning activities.
• Place fans and dehumidifiers in strategic room locations to remove moisture from carpets and upholstery.
• Verify moisture presence and removal with moisture sensor.
• Spray or fog carpets, upholstery and accessories with fabric conditioners and protectors, deodorizers and disinfectants.
• Inspect completed restoration to ensure conformance to standards.
• Assist in training of fellow employees in the department.
• Other duties may be assigned.
