Job summary

Terranea Resorts is seeking a Floor Care Technician to maintain all floor surfaces, perform carpet shampooing and extraction, and deep clean upholstered furniture. The role requires physical work, strict safety adherence, and the handling of specialized floor care equipment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in floor care and extraction work is required.
• Must possess a valid California driver's license.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including carrying equipment on stairs and moving furniture.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling, requirements and use of equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for all floor surfaces, including carpet, tile, stone, wood, and other hard floors.
• Perform carpet spotting, shampooing, and extraction.
• Extract and deep clean upholstered furniture as required.
• Remove, clean, extract, and reinstall curtains and drapery as assigned.
• Strip, wax, buff, and polish floors according to schedules and standards.
• Sweep and mop floors in assigned areas.
• Safely operate floor care equipment, including buffers, extractors, and vacuums.
• Move and reposition furniture and other items as needed.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Use chemicals and cleaning products per safety guidelines.
• Follow workplace safety and sanitation policies.
• Support housekeeping and other departments as needed.
• Attend designated meetings.
• Stock housekeeping supplies.
