Job summary

Beach Quarters Resort in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Facilities Technician for year-round, full-time work with 40 hours per week. Night and overnight shifts rotate, with preference for 11PM–7:30AM and weekend/on-call availability.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, responding to guest repair requests, maintaining inventory, and communicating daily activities across shifts. Requires knowledge across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. is required or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Technical Trade or Vocational School Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Addresses guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
• Welcomes and acknowledges every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
• Responds to all guest questions, concerns, and requests promptly.
• Cleans all technician areas as directed by Management.
• Maintains maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Performs preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
