Job summary

The Lake House is seeking a Facilities Manager to lead the on-site Facilities team, ensuring safe, efficient, and well-maintained buildings, grounds, and systems at the Canandaigua resort.

You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, support capital projects, manage outside contractors, and uphold luxury service standards while participating in loss prevention and sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in facilities or engineering operations.
• Experience directing maintenance, capital projects, and asset management.
• Ability to manage vendors, budgets, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train, coach, and develop Facilities Department personnel.
• Plan staffing and work schedules to support events, guest needs, and emergencies.
• Assign and prioritize work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, inspections, and projects.
• Maintain records for work orders, repairs, inspections, warranties, and service agreements.
• Manage departmental expenses, purchasing, inventories, and vendor relationships.
• Provide updates to Hotel Manager on repairs, safety concerns, and capital needs.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety systems.
• Coordinate outside contractors and project work ensuring quality and safety.
