Job summary

Edgewood Tahoe Resort in Stateline, NV is seeking a Sanitation Engineer to uphold cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental safety across the property. You will be responsible for the safe, timely, and discreet removal and disposal of waste and recyclables across guest areas, service corridors, and staff zones.

The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a strong work ethic and discretion in guest-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, transport and dispose of trash and recycling from guest areas, staff zones, kitchens, and public spaces according to established schedules.
• Monitor waste bins and receptacles throughout the resort to ensure cleanliness and timely emptying.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in disposal areas, including dumpsters, compactors, and waste holding areas.
• Operate transportation and waste management equipment (e.g., vehicles, compactors, carts, lifts) safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly and professionally to special requests for trash removal or cleanup from other departments.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to maintain seamless hygiene across guest and back-of-house areas.
• Operate cleaning and sanitation machinery safely and efficiently (e.g., pressure washers, floor scrubbers, compactors).
• Support pest control initiatives and monitor sanitation-sensitive areas regularly.
• Uphold the resort’s commitment to sustainability by implementing eco-friendly sanitation practices.
• Uphold strict hygiene and presentation standards, including proper use of uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
