POSITION:

RESORT ATTENDANT: Ottine Mineral Springs is seeking a Resort Attendant who will play a crucial role in ensuring a pristine, calm, and welcoming environment for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness throughout our facilities. This role is ideal for someone who is meticulous, takes pride in their work, and understands the importance of an immaculate setting in enhancing the guest experience.

This position requires some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: $17 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Approach all guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Always have constant awareness of safety hazards and report findings to the supervisor.
• Keep your work cart orderly and properly stocked.
• Keep housekeeping closets organized and well stocked. Inform supervisor of inventory needs.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize assigned areas including restrooms and changing areas, all indoor and outdoor furniture, reception and retail area, hallways, locker rooms, spa areas, administrative areas, and private pool areas.
• Clean and wash floors throughout the property.
• Keep property free of trash.
• Occasional laundering, folding, and stocking.
• Must be comfortable vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, polishing, and mopping.
• Inspect linens before placing them in designated areas.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working order.
• Adhere to the resort's dress code policy.
• Assist guests as needed.
• Attend required staff meetings.
• Maintain the resort's Lost + Found.
• Have knowledge of all resort facilities, hours of operation, restaurants, pools, and event spaces.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Due to changing operational demands and the need to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to undertake various functions that are not specifically related to this position. This individual may be required to carry out additional tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Additionally, employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and modification.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Six (6) months related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Reliability, punctuality, and professional communication skills are critical.
• Ability to work under pressure with a high level of patience and customer service.
• CPR and first aid certification a plus and /or the willingness to be trained.
• Ability to walk or stand and move about the resort (both indoors and outdoors) for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and procedures, and the capacity to communicate effectively and professionally.
• The person in this position will need to be comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor use space.
