Job summary

Capital Vacations, LLC is seeking an Activities Assistant in Hollywood, FL to plan, implement, and evaluate guest programs. You will design activities for all resort guests, publish the weekly calendar, and help manage department expenses while coordinating events with external vendors.

The role requires at least one year in guest service and recreational activities, strong communication, and the ability to lead and multitask across shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (Some college preferred).
• Minimum one year of experience in guest service/retail.
• Minimum one year of recreational activities experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate guests.
• Must be able to perform multi-task functions in coordination with management and have leadership abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Publisher, Word, Excel, Outlook, and FrontPage.
• Must be able to stand or sit for 10-hour shift; outgoing personality and positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement resort activities for all resort guests.
• Maintain and balance operational expenses for the department.
• Design and implement special events for holidays and other occasions.
• Coordinate special projects and events with off-site vendors and attractions.
• Publish and design weekly activities calendar.
• Purchase and maintenance of sports equipment and gaming library.
• Quality control of recreational areas such as courts and pools.
• Provide follow-up reports to management on projects and responsibilities.
• Assist in planning employee-related functions within the workplace.
• Supervise and train staff where necessary.
• Provide exemplary guest service to owners, exchangers and resort guests.
• Resolve guest requests and elevate issues when needed.
