JOB SUMMARY:
Operates resistance welder to join metal parts by a series of spot or continuous weld seams in accordance with dimensional specifications on repetitive work where operations and procedures are standardized.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months related experience and/or training to become proficient with procedures, work methods, and requirements for welding quality and quantity; or equivalent combination of education and experience. To perform this job successfully, the individual must pass a Level 1 resistance welding test and have at least 40 documented mentoring hours.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, in English, and interpret documents such as specifications, process control sheets, routings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to apply shop mathematics, interpret fairly complicated drawings, specifications, and formulas, and demonstrate competence in the use of precision measuring equipment.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
