Job summary

Pretium Packaging, L.L.C. in Salt Lake City is seeking a Material Handler to maintain raw material supply to production lines, unload bulk resin trailers, and keep the workspace clean and organized.

You will work on inventory movement, assist in purging machines, document material movements, and support food safety standards. Forklift experience and a high school diploma are preferred; 1-2 years of related experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of the facilities inventory movement for both shipping and inventory control
• Working knowledge of computer operating systems

Responsibilities

• Maintain supply of raw materials to machines (raw material, colors, etc.).
• Grind material, label regrind, keep grinding area organized and clean.
• Assists in purging machines and cleaning magnets in the hopper throat.
• Connect vacuum system to supply material to machines.
• Document movement of materials and complete all required paperwork.
• Gather lot control information for Quality Control.
• Help to monitor inventory levels and advise inventory control of low volumes.
• Unload bulk resin trailers.
• Keep work area clean and maintain proper housekeeping and sanitation.
• Maintains safety in the department.
• Perform other warehousing and related tasks
