Job summary

Pretium Packaging, L.L.C. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Material Handler to maintain material flow, operate forklift, and support warehousing tasks. You will manage raw materials for machines, document movements, monitor inventory levels, and ensure cleanliness and safety in the work area.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, forklift experience, and 1–2 years of related experience or training. Equal emphasis on accuracy and efficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of inventory movement for shipping and inventory control.
• Working knowledge of computer operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain supply of raw materials to machines (raw material, colors, etc.).
• Grind material, label regrind, keep grinding area organized and clean.
• Assist in purging machines and cleaning magnets in the hopper throat.
• Connect vacuum system to supply material to machines.
• Document movement of materials and complete all required paperwork.
• Gather lot control information for Quality Control.
• Help monitor inventory levels and advise inventory control of low volumes.
• Unload bulk resin trailers.
• Keep work area clean and maintain proper housekeeping and sanitation.
• Maintain safety in the department.
• Perform other warehousing and related tasks
