Job summary

Bakelite is seeking a Process Control Technician to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable resin manufacturing. You will own batch recipes from start to finish, improve automation, and minimize operator intervention.

You will program Experion Batch and related systems, audit recipes, and work with R&D to align formulations with facility capabilities. Strong data skills and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–10 years of chemical manufacturing experience.
• Strong ability to influence personnel.
• Understanding of chemical reactor operations.
• Proficient with batching software and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor batch performance and identify opportunities to reduce batch times and holds.
• Program and optimize batch recipes in DCS batching systems.
• Audit site recipes for safety and logical sequencing.
• Analyze live/historical batch data to find improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance to ensure smooth batch execution.
• Lead/participate in process improvement initiatives.
