Job summary

PPG Industries in Springdale is seeking an entry level Resin Operator Trainee in the Coatings R&D department. You will gain hands‑on training in resin manufacturing, operating reactors, and handling hazardous and non‑hazardous chemicals.

You will report to the trainer, Senior Operator, and Team Leader, with a clear path to becoming a qualified resin operator. This bi‑weekly rotating shift role includes day, afternoon, and night schedules, plus comprehensive medical, dental, vision benefits,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and willingness to work rotating shifts.
• Strong math and mechanical aptitude with safety awareness.
• Ability to lift and handle 55‑gallon drums and heavy bags.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors around fumes and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist trainers in producing resin batches under guidance.
• Follow batch instructions and run batches with increasing independence.
• Perform routine clean-up of reactor vessels and lines.
• Prepare shift relief documentation and handle toxic raw materials under guidance.
• Learn reactor systems and coordinate production activities with the team.
