Job summary

Silgan is seeking a production materials handler in Kentucky to promote safety and ensure accurate resin and colorant handling on each production line. You will set up blenders, calibrate formulas, document usage, manage waste and regrind, and keep the work areas clean while coordinating with operators on the floor.

Role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and strict adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent climbing, bending, and stooping.
• Must maintain clean work areas and operate with safety as priority.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment.
• Verify resin and colorant usage per PIC sheets on each line.
• Complete daily scrap reports detailing resin, colorant usage, regrind and scrap.
• Set up blenders and calibrate material formulas as needed.
• Transport materials to and from the warehouse and perform line clearances.
• Keep grinders and blenders clean and free of dust.
