NICO National Indemnity Company seeks a Resilience Intern to support business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives. The role involves updating plans, coordinating with process owners, and participating in live exercises and drills.

The ideal candidate is an undergraduate student with Sophomore standing, pursuing Risk/Resilience related studies, and has strong communication and organizational skills. Flexible scheduling with part-time and summer hours offered.

Qualifications

• Undergrad student with Sophomore standing.
• 2 years of education in Risk Management, Emergency Management, or Resilience or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of Operational Resilience principles.
• Understanding of Emergency Management Standards.
• Proficiency with personal computer and related software.
• Excellent oral and written communication across organization levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery documents and spreadsheets.
• Meet with process owners to gather continuity plans across locations.
• Scribe for CAT/MAT events and assist in exercises and drills.
• Monitor threats and coordinate with Resilience Leadership on mitigations.
• Collaborate with Safety Committee on crisis and emergency initiatives.
