Job summary

National Indemnity Company in Omaha seeks a Resilience Intern to join the team and gain experience in business continuity and disaster recovery. The role offers flexible daily hours and a workload of 15–25 hours per week, with up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

Responsibilities include updating continuity plans, coordinating with process owners, and participating in drills with resilience professionals to test strategies.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student with Sophomore standing.
• 2 years of education in Risk Management, Emergency Management, or Resilience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with basic PC software and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Meet with process owners to gather and update continuity plans across locations.
• Participate in live events, drills, and training for resilience programs.
• Monitor potential interruption threats and assist leadership with countermeasures.
• Collaborate with Safety Committee on crisis and emergency management initiatives.
