Job summary

Affirm is seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our Resilience Engineering team, ensuring the safety and reliability of production systems through production load testing and chaos engineering. You will mentor engineers, build platforms for safe production experimentation, and partner with infrastructure, product, and security to embed resilience validation across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

Experience leading reliability, infra, or distributed systems teams.
Hands-on with production load testing or chaos engineering.
Experience with chaos engineering vendors (Gremlin, Harness).

Responsibilities

Define and drive resilience engineering vision.
Lead engineers building safe production experimentation tooling.
Embed resilience validation into SDLC with partners.
Establish best practices for testing limits and failures in production.
Own design and evolution of platforms enabling safe production load testing and fault injection.
Build systems with end-to-end observability, tracing, and auditability.
