AtkinsRéalis in New York, NY is hiring an entry-level Resilience and Emergency Management Specialist to support disaster recovery, hazard mitigation and resilience planning for public-sector clients. You will collect and analyze data, prepare reports, and coordinate stakeholder communications as part of a growing REM team.

The role emphasizes writing, research, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with structured mentorship and a broad benefits package for new graduates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public administration, planning, public policy, political science, geography/GIS, environmental studies, engineering, economics, finance, accounting, data analytics or a related field; master’s may substitute for experience.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot.

Responsabilités

• Collect, organize, analyze, and maintain data to support project delivery, decision-making, and client objectives.
• Support grant and program activities, including applications, administration, reimbursement documentation, compliance reviews, monitoring, cost reconciliation, and development of supporting materials.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, hazard mitigation, resilience, emergency management, infrastructure, and planning projects through research, technical analysis, writing, and project coordination.
• Prepare, maintain, and manage reports, correspondence, presentations, planning documents, proposals, scopes of work, project records, meeting materials, and dashboards.
