Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, NE is seeking a Residential Youth Specialist (Assistant Family Teacher) to provide direct care for at-risk youth in a family-style home. Typical schedule 2:30 PM–10:30 PM, full-time with two weekends and two overnight stays per month.

Starting pay $20.00 per hour plus a $1,500 signing bonus, subject to change. You’ll teach life and social skills, model positive behavior, support academic and spiritual development, and ensure a safe, nurturing

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Passion for working with youth; flexible and team-oriented.
• Physical ability to actively engage with children in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing care, guidance, and behavioral support to youth
• Teaching life and social skills using the Boys Town model
• Supporting academic and spiritual development
• Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment
• Participating in fun and educational activities with youth
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor to meet organizational needs
• Serves as a role model reflecting Boys Town values
