Job summary

Boys Town is hiring a Residential Youth Specialist in Omaha, NE. The role provides direct care to at-risk children in a family-style home, teaching life skills and supporting moral, educational, and emotional development.

Starting pay is $20.00/hour with a $1,500 signing bonus. Typical shift 2:30 PM–10:30 PM, two weekends and two overnights per month; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with employer match, vacation, tuition assistance, EAP, life insurance, and long-term disability.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Passion for working with youth; flexible and team-oriented.
• Physical ability to actively engage with children in a dynamic environment.
• CPR certification and national personal restraint model to be obtained during pre-service training.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, guidance, and behavioral support to youth.
• Teach life and social skills using the Boys Town model.
• Support academic and spiritual development.
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment.
• Participate in fun and educational activities with youth.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
• Serve as a role model reflecting Boys Town values.
