Job summary

Center for Family Services in Mercer County, NJ invites applications for a Program Director to oversee day-to-day operations of a residential youth facility. This in-person, 5-day-a-week role provides leadership to staff, ensures safety and program adherence, and collaborates with the youth treatment team to promote growth and empowerment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, public health, healthcare/social services administration, public administration, education, business administration, or healthcare policy with 3 years' supervisory experience in a residential or inpatient behavioral health program.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5 years' supervisory experience in a residential or inpatient behavioral health program.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight and supervision to program staff and maintain supervisory documentation.
• Recruit, train, develop and supervise program staff; foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Conduct monthly supervision and annual performance evaluations with constructive feedback.
• Create staffing schedules and maintain staffing ratios per licensing and state regulations 24/7.
• Ensure delivery of contracted services to youth.
• Manage the program budget; monitor expenditures and seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Ensure licensing compliance and enforce safety and security protocols; address regulatory issues.
• Build relationships with community organizations, schools, and external agencies to enhance program effectiveness.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives; assess outcomes and identify areas for enhancement.
• Develop crisis intervention protocols with a multidisciplinary team and respond to emergencies; close incident reports timely.
• Maintain open communication with staff, residents, and families; provide updates to executive team.
• Facilitate ongoing staff training to enhance skills and knowledge on residential youth treatment.
• Oversee data collection and analysis to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
• Advocate for youth needs and rights within the program.
