Job summary

Mount Prospect Academy in Rumney, NH is seeking a compassionate Residential Youth Counselor to mentor and support adolescents in a therapeutic residential setting. You’ll help youth build coping skills, social skills, and confidence for a brighter future.

The role requires either an associate or bachelor’s degree (or 60 college credits, or 2 years of youth experience, or 7 years of parenting experience), a valid driver's license preferred, and a background check.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree OR 60 college credits OR 2 years of experience working with youth OR 7 years of parenting experience.
• Valid driver’s license preferred; must be 21+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor youth, model positive behaviors, and manage crises.
• Facilitate daily routines, recreational activities, and life skills training.
• Support individualized treatment plans and document progress.
• Build trusting relationships and provide emotional stability during challenging moments.

Schedule: Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday (4 consecutive days, 3 days off every week!)
