Job summary

Youth For Tomorrow, a faith‑based nonprofit in Bristow, VA, seeks staff for residential care roles. You will oversee the care of male and female residents ages 12–18, enforce program rules, and support daily operations during weekday evenings and weekend overnights.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of child care experience; bilingual Spanish is preferred. Training and certification opportunities are provided as part of ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and six months experience working with children; enroll and complete required training and certification.
• Knowledge and understanding of Youth For Tomorrow mission and values.
• Ability to collaborate with residents, gain their respect, guide development, and participate in the treatment program.
• Ability to support resident–family visitation and involvement in community activities.
• Ability to provide services in a culturally and linguistically competent manner.
• Ability to work with children and youth, including those with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee physical care of residents.
• Develop acceptable habits and attitudes.
• Manage resident behavior.
• Assist in meeting service plan goals.
• Supervise and guide residents, and ensure safety and accountability.
• Maintain 24/7 program structure and regulations.
