Job summary

Pella Mid-Atlantic is seeking a Sub-contractor to remove existing windows and doors and install new Pella products in residential settings. You will coordinate installation schedules, direct work at job sites, and ensure high-quality workmanship.

The role requires reading installation guides, testing product operation for customers, keeping the site clean, and representing Pella Mid-Atlantic on-site. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• General construction knowledge and terminology, and/or window/door applications.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to respond clearly, concisely and promptly to questions/requests via phone or email.
• Write legibly and informatively; read and interpret written information; edit for spelling and grammar.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and verify installation schedules with Project Coordinator and/or Installation Supervisor.
• Directs work processes at job sites.
• Identify installation methods, procedures, materials and tools from work orders.
• Install windows and doors to walls/openings per Pella guidelines and quality standards.
• Test unit operations and demonstrate product to customers.
• Keep job site clean and tidy after installation.
• Communicate effectively with customers and represent Pella Mid-Atlantic on-site.
• Train customers on operating procedures and how to contact service if needed.
• Obtain Certificate of Completion and collect balances from customers.
• Ensure high quality of work and safety at the site.
• Inspect sites of subcontractors as needed to meet business needs.
• Perform recovery work as required to meet business needs.
• Ensure warehouse items are scanned and communicated to warehouse/project coordinator.
• Use, maintain and store tools properly.
• Follow safety requirements and wear safety gear; report safety issues.
• Maintain valid driver’s license and comply with Fleet Safety Policy.
