Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Residential Helper to assist drivers with waste removal on a demanding route. This role requires physical stamina, safety awareness and customer service.

You will regularly lift up to 75 lbs, load and unload at curbside, and work with multiple drivers. A valid driver’s license and reliable work ethic are essential; prior waste industry exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and speak English well enough to understand directions, safety training, and traffic signs.
• Ability to learn and understand truck mechanics and safety procedures.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide waste or recycling removal services to customers on assigned route by emptying receptacles into the truck.
• Enter/exit the truck and ride on back step to service stops throughout the day.
• Replace receptacles neatly at curb or designated area and assist in unloading/cleaning the truck as needed.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers; follow safety protocols at all times.
