Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Driver Helper to ride along on a residential waste collection route and assist the Driver with loading waste, directing from the ground, and keeping the vehicle and work area clean. Responsibilities

• Ride on the vehicle to assist the Driver while servicing customers on a designated route.
• Operate packing mechanism to lift and load waste.
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body after disposal trips.
• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others daily.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials.
• Clean spills and maintain safety standards on site.
• Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely service.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Company.
