Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in accounting, finance, economics, engineering, or related fields that require quantitative analysis (additional education can substitute for work experience).
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about public utilities regulation and energy/telecommunications fields.
  • Ability to manage multiple caseloads and organize large amounts of information.

Responsibilities

  • Review utility filings and identify issues for the division.
  • Draft written testimony and discovery; review briefs, comments, and related analyses.
  • Analyze and synthesize data into reports for attorneys.
  • Research utility practices, financial issues, and legislation.
  • Attend PUC meetings and participate in stakeholder meetings.
  • Summarize positions and provide updates to the division manager.
