Job summary

Thrive Behavioral Health in Barrington, RI, seeks a Residential Treatment Worker to supervise residents in a group home for individuals with long-term mental illness and to support their daily living skills. The role focuses on safety, skill-building, and person-centered care.

You will coordinate medical/dental/psychiatric services, maintain records, provide crisis intervention, transport clients, and uphold Thrive’s guiding principles in daily practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in the Human Service field preferred.
• Valid driver's license required or ability to obtain transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents and provide a safe and comfortable environment.
• Provide intensive education, training and modeling in basic living skills and social skills including budgeting (shopping within a budget; understand the difference between want vs. needs).
• Coordinate and monitor medical, dental and psychiatric services.
• Produce, complete, and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation and client records in accordance with Thrive standards and state and federal regulations.
• Provide crisis intervention and basic behavioral program implementation.
• Transport clients.
• Review e-mail account daily for new messages.
• Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with Thrive’s Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.
