Job summary

First Resources Corp. in Ottumwa, IA is hiring a Part-time Residential Technician to cover the 10pm-6am shift. You'll help monitor and assist individuals served, document care, and support daily routines under supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, medication observation, transportation, and timely service notes. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement and a competitive benefits package offered with this part-time position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Experience is preferred but not required; training provided by the agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide monitoring and assistance for each person served.
• Observe and document medical needs; participate in medication administration as directed.
• Provide transportation as directed by supervisor with insured vehicle.
• Complete service notes by end of scheduled shift.
• Provide updates to Supervisor/Counselor/Office Manager and communicate needs or discharge promptly.
• Encourage engagement in sober community activities per Clinical Supervisor’s discretion.
• Oversee daily events, meals, and bedtimes of clients and their children.
• Facilitate Life Skills Group as indicated on the treatment schedule.

Our team is growing and we are searching for dedicated and energetic Part- time Residential Technician to work 10pm-6am

First Resources Corp. is a private nonprofit organization with locations throughout southeast Iowa. We provide community based programs with integrity and respect that inspire hope and contribute to the well-being of the people we serve. The ideal candidate would be responsible for the health and safety of individuals receiving services, money, agency assets, equipment, and personnel.

As a Residential Technician, you will

1. Provide monitoring and assistance for each person served.
2. Ensures medical needs of members are met through observation of medication and proper documentation. This includes attending medical appointments and following all policies and procedures relating to med administration policies of the agency. Assures doctors' orders are followed as well.
3. Provides transportation as directed by supervisor. Maintains safe, reliable and properly insured transportation.
4. Complete service notes by the end of scheduled shift.
5. Provides updates to Supervisor, Counselor and/or Office Manager and communicates service needs or discharge in a timely manner.
6. Ensures that each member has the opportunity to engage in sober community activities at the discretion of the Clinical Supervisor.
7. Oversee the daily events, meals , bedtimes of clients and their children,
8. Facilitate Life Skills Group as indicated on the treatment schedule.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
