Job summary

Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our residential services team. You will provide person-centered supports, assist with personal care, monitor medications, and help individuals build independent living skills under supervision.

You will participate in care coordination meetings, document services, transport individuals to appointments, and be a daily point of contact for families and service providers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in a human services field are required.
• Reference/background screening is required for all positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and crisis interventions as needed.
• Assist individuals and families to identify strategies to regain independence and promote coping skills.
• Organize and participate in care coordination meetings and complete documentation for services.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and work when needed.
