Job summary

The role emphasizes compassionate, trauma-informed care, team collaboration, and person-centered planning. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with 18+ eligibility and a valid Michigan driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and mental health issues is helpful.
• Lived experience with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use is valued.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license required and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in group homes and community environments.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as laundry, meal prep, and grocery shopping.
• Provide transportation in agency-owned vehicles.
• Assist with medication distribution and documentation.
• Facilitate individual and small group activities based on treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate records and incident reports; participate in team meetings and planning.
