Job summary

NeMCMHA in Hillman, MI is hiring Residential Support Specialists to provide direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs. You’ll support daily living tasks, transportation, and medication documentation within group homes and community settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and mental health issues is helpful.
• Lived experience with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use is valued.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license required and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals in group homes and community environments.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as laundry, meal prep, and grocery shopping.
• Provide transportation in agency-owned vehicles.
• Assist with medication distribution and documentation.
• Facilitate individual and small group activities based on treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate records and incident reports; participate in team meetings and planning.
