Job summary

Piedmont Community Services in Rocky Mount, Virginia, seeks a Residential Support Specialist to assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily living activities, personal care, and social support.

You will help residents maintain dignity and safety in a group home while supporting self-directed living in the community. Must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license; CNA or ID/DD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Additional education or experience in human services preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation to worksites and trainings.
• Experience with ID/DD individuals and CNA is a plus but not required.
• Multiple shifts with rotating weekend availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with developmental disabilities with routine personal care needs.
• Provide social support and physical assistance in daily living activities.
