Piedmont Community Services in Stuart, VA seeks a Residential Support Specialist to assist adults with developmental disabilities in daily living within a group home. You will provide routine personal care, social support, and physical assistance to help residents maintain dignity and independence in a safe home environment.

Must be 18+, HS diploma or GED, with strong documentation and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with ID/DD individuals is a plus but not required.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required.
• Background checks and drug screening may be part of the process.

Responsibilities

• Assist adults with developmental disabilities with routine personal care and daily living activities.
• Provide social support and safe physical assistance in a group home setting.
• Maintain individualized care plans, document care activities, and ensure a safe home environment.
• Support residents to lead self-directed lives within the community.

Job description

Piedmont Community Services is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to assist adults with developmental disabilities on a day-to-day basis with routine personal care needs, social support, and physical assistance in a wide range of daily living activities. This position ensures that individuals living in the group home receive individualized care, maintain dignity, and enjoy a safe comfortable home environment while leading a self-directed life in their own community. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, with additional education / experience in human services fields preferred. Basic computer skills are needed along with good patient documentation skills. Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable ability to transport self to worksites, trainings, and meetings. Experience with ID/DD individuals and CNA is a plus but not required. Multiple shifts needed, rotating weekend availability may be required.
