Job summary

CHOSEN HEARTS ASSISTED LIVING LLC in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Residential Support Assistant to provide direct care and supervision, supporting residents' independence and dignity in a safe, structured home setting.

You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meals, and documentation, and administer medications if certified. Strong communication, compassion, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of caregiving, healthcare, or human services experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Medication Administration certification preferred (Maryland regulations).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed.
• Prepare and serve meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Administer medications in compliance with state regulations and company policies (if certified).
• Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ health, behavior, or condition.
• Implement individualized service plans and behavioral support strategies.
• Promote social interaction, engagement in recreational activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe living environment.
• Assist with transportation to appointments, errands, and community outings (if required).
• Follow all safety protocols, including infection control and emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner.

Position Overview

This role is essential in helping residents maintain independence, dignity, and a high quality of life while ensuring a safe and structured environment.
