Job summary

The Structural Design Engineer at The Fischer Group develops efficient, value-focused engineering solutions that support Fischer Homes’ product offerings and construction operations. In this role, you will design basic structural components, evaluate field conditions, develop repair drawings, and help resolve construction challenges before they create schedule delays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• One to three years of experience in residential engineering and construction practices.
• FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification.

Responsibilities

• Design basic structural components for new and existing home designs.
• Evaluate field conditions and develop repair drawings.
• Collaborate across architecture, construction, estimating, purchasing, permitting, warranty, and internal teams to resolve challenges.
• Perform IRC and IBC code analysis to support compliant design.
• Draft repair drawings to guide field repairs and minimize delays.
