Job summary

The Arc of San Diego is seeking a Residential Specialist for an awake overnight shift Thursday through Saturday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., at our Lakeside residence.

You will provide direct, person-centered care to individuals with disabilities, helping with daily activities and encouraging independence while ensuring a safe, supportive home environment. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of relevant experience, a valid California driver's license with current

• Valid CA driver’s license, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities such as personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, dressing, mobility, and organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.

About the Role: This is an awake overnight shift Thurs- Sat 11p-7a

As a Residential Specialist, you’ll provide direct care and support to individuals with disabilities in a home environment. Using a person-centered approach, you’ll empower clients to engage in daily life, make choices, and gain independence.

The pay for this position is $20.00 to $20.65.

Location: Lakeside

A typical day will include:

• Provide hands-on, person-centered care in a residential setting
• Assist with daily activities like personal care, hygiene, eating, cooking, cleaning, getting dressed and undressed, mobility, and personal organization.
• Encourage independence by supporting individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Create a safe, respectful, and engaging home environment.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• High school diploma or GED
• Six (6) months experience working with individuals with disabilities

• Valid California Driver’s License, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
• A passion for making a difference!

We’d love it if you:

• Are bilingual in English and Spanish
• Have experience using case management systems (Therap preferred)
