Job summary

Our World Energy is hiring a Roof Lead in Houston to assemble, install, and maintain solar PV systems on residential roofs. You will join a crew responsible for installing racking systems, modules, and electrical wiring while following site schematics and safety practices.

The role requires 1-2 years of residential solar experience, ability to operate power tools, and adherence to NEC standards. Company-provided equipment, company vehicle, PTO, and six holidays support a strong work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old; High school diploma or equivalent, or trade school in solar/electrical systems preferred.
• 1-2 years of residential solar experience required.
• OSHA preferred.
• Ability to safely operate power tools and install solar hardware.
• Knowledge of NEC codes and PV system wiring.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to safety policies.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install racking systems and solar panels on residential roofs.
• Drive a truck and trailer safely.
• Mount racking and electrical equipment and seal penetrations.
• Maintain PV systems and safety equipment.
• Complete job documentation after installation.
• Interact with customers and answer questions.
• Read blueprints and plan documents.
• Run conduit and wiring on roofs and seal penetrations.
• Test operation of completed work.
• Enforce OSHA standards on site.
